Dried Nettle: Rich in Magnesium & Anti-Inflammatory. Research suggests that maintaining optimal magnesium levels may play a role in migraine support. Nettle is naturally high in magnesium, supporting optimal levels in the body. It also can help promote a balanced inflammatory response, a factor in migraine management.
Dried Passion Flower: Traditionally used to promote relaxation and support nervous system balance.
Dried Lemon Balm: Known for it's calming properties, which help support the nervous system and stress response.
Dried Lavender: Renowned for promoting relaxation and easing stress.
Hemp Seeds: A rich source of omega-3s and magnesium, supporting cognitive function and neurological health.
Matcha Power: Contains L-theanine for balanced, focused energy (note: contains caffeine).
Moringa Powder: Packed with vitamins A, C, iron, and antioxidants.
This recipe is divided into two parts: the herbal decoction and the matcha and moringa infused hemp milk. Each component can be prepared ahead of time, making it easy to enjoy this nourishing latte whenever you need it:
Step 1: Herbal Decoction (Makes 16 oz.)
Ingredients:
1 tbsp. of dried spearmint
1 tbsp. of dried nettle
1 tbsp. of dried lavender
1 tbsp. of dried lemon balm
1 tbsp. of dried passion flower
20 oz. of water
Instructions:
Bring 20 oz. of water to a boil.
Add spearmint, lavender, passion flower, nettle, and lemon balm.
Reduce heat and let the herbs simmer for 10 minutes to extract their full benefits.
Strain the herbs and store the 16 oz. decoction in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Step 2: Matcha and Moringa Infused Hemp Milk (Makes 16 oz.)
Ingredients:
1/3 cup hemp seeds
16 oz. water
2 pitted dates
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tsp matcha powder
2 tsp of moringa powder
Instructions:
Blend hemp seeds, water, date, vanilla extract, matcha, and moringa powder in a high-speed blender for 60 seconds.
Strain if a smoother texture is desired.
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Shake before use.
Step 3: Assembling the Latte (Single Serving - 8 oz.)
Ingredients:
8 oz. herbal decoction
2 oz. matcha and moringa infused hemp milk
Optional: honey or maple syrup for sweetness
Instructions:
Warm 8 oz. of the herbal decoction.
Froth 2 oz. of the matcha and moringa infused hemp milk.
Pour the warmed decoction into a mug, then top with the frothy hemp milk.
